Wolves Claim Game One On Saturday In L-A

(Minnesota News Network-Los Angeles, LA) — The Minnesota Timberwolves shrugged off a slow start on Saturday night and then raced to a 117-95 Game One rout of the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the N-B-A Western Conference playoffs in L-A. The Wolves led by 11 at halftime and started the third quarter with an 11-0 run to take complete control of the contest. Jaden McDaniels poured in 25 points, while Naz Reid finished with 23 points off the bench. Minnesota has a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Luka Doncic scored a game-high 37 points in the losing effort. Game Two tips off in Los Angeles tomorrow.
