Wolves dominate Denver, take 2-0 lead
(Denver, CO) — The Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to a 106-80 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game Two of the Western Conference semifinals last night in the Mile High City. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns tied with a team-high 27 points to help the Wolves take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the defending N-B-A champions. Nickeil Alexander-Walker (nuh-KEEL) and Naz Reid (NOZ) came off the bench to score 14 points apiece. Minnesota was without defensive standout Rudy Gobert (go-BARE), who missed the game because his son was born earlier in the day. The Timberwolves outscored the Nuggets 33-15 in the second quarter and never looked back. The Wolves at one point led by 32 points. They have won all six of their games this postseason. Nikola Jokic (YO-kitch) totaled 16 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists in the losing effort. Aaron Gordon paced Denver with 20 points. Game Three will be played in Minnesota on Friday at 8:30 P-M.
