Wolves Get Much-Needed Win
(Dallas, TX) — Minnesota star guard Anthony Edwards had a big game as the Timberwolves took down the Dallas Mavericks 105-99 in a Christmas Day matinee in Texas.
Edwards had a team-high 26 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists. Julius Randle chipped in 23 points, ten rebounds and eight assists as the T-Wolves snapped their three-game losing streak.
Minnesota build a 28-point lead at one point, but saw that advantage trimmed to two points with under a minute to play. Dallas star Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 39-points, but missed a three-point that would have given the Mavs the lead with 36-seconds remaining.
The Mavs are 19-11 on the season. Minnesota improved to 15-14 and will visit Houston Friday night.
