Wolves Improve to .500

The Minnesota Timberwolves throttled the Los Angeles Lakers 109-80 in an N-B-A Western Conference showdown at the Target Center last night. Julius Randle led all Minnesota starters with 18 points while Rudy Gobert had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Naz Reid had 15 points apiece off the bench as the Wolves improved to 10-10. Anthony Edwards was held to eight points on 3-of-13 shooting. Former Minnesota player D’Angelo Russell paced L-A with 20 points in the losing effort. The Lakers have lost five of their last seven to sit at 12-9. Minnesota visits the L-A Clippers tomorrow night.
