Wolves Lose To Houston In OT
A furious Minnesota Timberwolves rally came up short in a 117-111 overtime loss to the Houston Rockets last night at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Wolves trailed by 18 points late in the third quarter before storming back to take a late lead in regulation. Houston tied the game by scoring the final five points of the final three-and-a-half-minutes of regulation to send it to O-T. The Rockets used an 11-0 run during the extra session to pull away for the victory, leaving Minnesota at 8-9 on the season. Houston improved to 13-6. Anthony Edwards led the way for Minnesota with 29 points and ten rebounds, while Julius Randle added 21 points. The Wolves were once again playing without point guard Mike Conley, Junior. Fred VanVleet finished with 27 points and 11 assists for the winners, while Alperen Sengun had a triple-double of 22 points, 11 assists, and ten rebounds. Houston has won three of four. The Wolves are on a three-game losing streak. Minnesota will host Sacramento tonight at 7 P-M.
