Wolves open Summer Camp today
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves will begin workouts for the N-B-A Summer League this week. The young players on the team will practice today through Thursday at team headquarters in downtown Minneapolis before leaving for Las Vegas to begin the Summer League play with a game on Friday against New Orleans. The Las Vegas Summer League will consist of four games from July 12-19. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining teams will play one more non-tourney game as part of the competition. The Wolves’ roster includes this year’s top two draft picks Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon, Jr. In addition, G-League standout Leonard Miller will be on the roster, as is last year’s draft pick Jaylen Clark, who has been cleared to practice and play. The U-C-L-A product missed all of last season with a leg injury. Also on the roster is Lakeville North product Tyler Wahl, who played at Wisconsin, along with Gabe Kalscheur of Edina, who played at Minnesota and Iowa State. Former Iowa standout Joe Wieskamp is also taking part for Minnesota. Friday’s opening game tips off at 4 P-M.
