Wolves sweep Suns, await next opponent
(Phoenix, AZ) — The Minnesota Timberwolves are the first team to advance to Round Two of the N-B-A Playoffs. The Wolves finished off a sweep of the Phoenix Suns with a 122-116 win in Game Four of their first round series last night in Arizona. Anthony Edwards poured in 40 points to lead third-seeded Minnesota, which wins its first postseason series in 20 years. Edwards scored 31 points after halftime. The Wolves will face either the Denver Nuggets or Los Angeles Lakers in second round. Denver currently leads that series 3-1. Karl-Anthony Towns added 28 points and 10 rebounds in the series-clinching victory. Devin Booker dropped in a game-high 49 points for the Suns, who lost in the opening round for the first time since 2008. Kevin Durant put up 33 points, while Bradley Beal had just nine on 4-of-13 shooting.
