Wolves take down Pistons, Teams have bench clearing brawl
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves turned up the heat following a benches-clearing brawl during a 123-104 win over the Pistons at the Target Center. Five players and two coaches were ejected from the game after a fight that followed a foul on Naz Reid. The Timberwolves outscored Detroit 93-65 after the brawl. Julius Randle had 26 points, while Rudy Gobert scored 19 with 25 rebounds. The Wolves are in seventh place in the Western Conference at 43-32. Former Wolves player Malik Beasley had 27 points in the losing effort for the Pistons, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Minnesota will play its next five games on the road, including tomorrow’s contest at Denver at 9 P-M.
