Wolves will get Denver in 2nd round

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves will play the defending N-B-A Champion Denver Nuggets in Round Two of the N-B-A Playoffs. Denver beat the Los Angeles Lakers last night 108-106 to claim the best-of-seven series four-games-to-one. Nugget guard Jamal Murray hit a two-point jumper with 3.6 seconds remaining to lift Denver to the victory. He finished with a game-high 32 points. Nikola Jokic chipped in 25 points, 20 rebounds and nine assists. The Wolves swept past the Phoenix Suns in four straight games. The Nuggets beat the Timberwolves in last year’s postseason four-games-to-two in the Opening Round. Game One of the 2024 second round series will be played on Saturday in the Mile High City.
