Wolves wrap up preseason

(Minneapolis, MN) — In their final preseason tune up the Timberwolves fell short against the Nuggets 132-126 on Thursday night at Target Center. The Wolves sat a good chunk of their starters after playing the night previous and losing in Chicago. Julian Strawther led all scorers with 33 points for Denver while Jamal Murray added 25. Luka Garza led the Timberwolves with 29 points. Amongst the players that did not play for Minnesota included Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid. After winning the first two games of the exhibition schedule the Wolves dropped their final three to finish 2-3. Minnesota opens the regular season on Tuesday in Los Angeles against the Lakers at 9 P-M.
