Women Lead Minnesota’s Top Fall Races

Women will lead Minnesota’s two biggest statewide races this fall following Tuesday’s primary election.

In the race for governor, D-F-L nominee Amy Klobuchar will face Republican Lisa Demuth. Minnesota has never elected a woman governor, putting voters in position to make state history.

The open U-S Senate race will feature Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan against Republican Michele Tafoya.

The results remain unofficial until the State Canvassing Board meets August 18th. The general election is November 3rd. Minnesota election results
