Xcel Energy Working to Bring Monticello Nuclear Plant Back to Full Operation

(Learfield News/Monticello, MN) — The Monticello Nuclear Plant is temporarily shut down following an issue with a control valve last week.

Xcel Energy officials say they are working to bring the plant back to full operation.

The reactor was automatically taken offline on Wednesday.

They say the shutdown is not impacting electrical service to customers.
